It'd sure be nice in the US too. How many times do you have a colon swallowed by the text it follows? Ends up looking like a period. Comma with semi-colon. Don't even get me started on internal quoting in a quote or character speech. Not too mention the apostrophe showing contraction at the start of a word when at the start of quoting. A full space seems too much for that separation, yet none is really hard to work with for a reader.

    For God's sake, yes.

I copy and paste words into a new document sometimes to avoid this. I don't even want that monster task pane opening, etc., just a simple "Good-to-go-dude" from good ol' F7. Well, or "um, dude, ..."

This one makes my skin crawl reading it...

BUT... yeah, it's necessary and worthwhile once you think about it. (I'm vote 74.)

When I have a single page displayed for working with, vs. two side-by-side, I have a great deal of "real estate" right and left of it on the screen. If I could move elements like the Ribbon to the side/s, I'd have more up and down real estate to view my page or perhaps a bit of another without having to Zoom down with the loss of size that entails and without the loss of fidelity in font appearance.

Quite a very nice idea. Worth voting for folks.

You know, until they start selling monitors that can be rotated when desired again. Or we all have 2-3 monitors and I can keep one turned on its "side" at all times for standard page dimension fidelity. Or, you know, until they finally make those glasses that have the screen displayed in them but since it's so close to the eye it's like a 50" screen. I'm putting my hope in this rather than any of those although... I'd take any of them, especially if I could afford a third monitor... Although at home, there's only room for one. (Sigh...)

It should keep your typing at the exact height on the screen you started at.

Sometimes I find it doesn't even keep what I'm typing as the last line on the screen. I an below the screen and going lower. It simply stops scrolling up at all. Obnoxious as all-get-out.

A simple example might be that I type "12 - 3 = 9" which I want to always be present precisely as such, never split between lines.

NOT interested in fighting the program on the shifting field I find today to force that to be so. NOT interested in losing the internal spaces to make characters "sticky". Not interested in how some are sticky-leading, some sticky-lagging.

Just want to simply highlight the characters I want kept together no matter what, and shortcut type a command to do so. (Sigh...) Or even find a buried button to click in the abomination called a Ribbon which is in truth a horrid example of menu-ing meant to pretend menus are gone and Juliet is the sun.
