Its to simple for Office 365 to put effort in it. Use the recent tab to go to shared folders.

Office 365 does not understand the principle of shared folders it is to basic for them. ;-(
Maybe try the recent tab because it remembers it has been in the folder.Pieter Hartman supported this idea ·

After 1,5 years still no progress. And that on OSx and Windows.
If files are synced they show up under personal onedrive on windows. Use the recent tab to see if you have been in the shared folder before and browse from there.Pieter Hartman supported this idea ·

Open one document in the folder and use recent afterwards. then it allows to browse through shared folders.
It still does not work. And it is so BASIC.
It is a useful and logical option. Very strange MS did not implement it.
It would also be great on the iPad.
Maybe a trick.
Create a document in the base shared directory and open that now and then. Word / OneDrive remember is and you can start browsing through the folder by going to recent instead of shared.
