There is one comment I would like to make about digital signatures in MS Word.
I work in the Air Force and we often have to send documents forward for digital signature. Oftentimes, these reviews entail many layers of review and signature. Let's say the 5th person is about to sign the document and only wants to make a small change, their changes should not invalidate the other user's signatures...or at least give us that option not to invalidate them.
For instance, the first option could be to have all signatures go invalid if anything is changed on the document.
The second option could be to keep all previous signatures on the document and not invalidate them if a superior wants to make a few changes but does not want to send the document around for a second round of reviews and signatures. Please contact me if I was not clear in my explanation and/or you would like more comments and background info on the problems we are encountering.
