I would love to see this for Spanish, too.

Have you tried opening the Style dialog box using Format, Style...? This box won't let you go to the document until you make your choice, so perhaps that's not practical for you?

Application.ScreenUpdating = False
is already present at the top of the procedure, but it didn't stop the highlighter gizmo. Any more ideas?Ed Tuggy shared this idea ·

I just downloaded Word version 15.41 and the Integrated Development Environment for Visual Basic for Applications appears to be fully implemented on the Mac. (Haven't tried it much yet.) This issue appears to have been resolved. Thank you!

I would just like to add that today I've wasted over an hour trying to get Word to run a macro that it has run successfully many times before, but today it just keeps crashing. When I try to step through the code in the IDE, it crashes more in unpredictable ways. As a person with a lot of experience in programming in VBA for Word for Windows, I keep getting the impression that VBA for Word for Mac is seriously deficient.

I would like to see MacWord fully implement the Integrated Development Environment for Visual Basic for Applications. Word on my Mac OSX Yosemite with 32 GB memory usually crashes when I try to do anything in VBA. Thank you.

Even if the replace function only paused for the first two or three occurrences, that would help.

As a matter of fact, I just found some mistakes I made while using the replace function, that could have been prevented if I could have seen the result of my action before moving on.

I support this request. Every time I open a document with Track Changes, I have to disable the display of Formatting changes. The program has already spent a couple of extra minutes to open just because of attempting to display thousands of formatting changes, and then when I disable this, it again takes a couple of extra minutes to hide the same thousands of formatting changes.
