When's MS gonna start paying me for my UX design time and lost productivity? :D

Web tech can handle 95% of what the desktop client does.
MS, use this as an opportunity to shake loose all the legacy baggage (things that make Word developers required, in particular). Clean up management of styles, lists, and templates.

The Mac version is already feature-stripped compared to the Win version. Some things they do better, however, the amount of bugs on both platforms is unbelievable. I'm amazed that they've managed to hold on to their business market. The teams I work with are fleeing to alternatives all the time, primarily for stability and common sense design.
IMO, top features needing stability for professional writers: 1) Tracked changes; 2) Outline view; 3) Master/Sub documents; 4) Images; 5) Tables. All of these features barely work, especially when used together. Also, why is Word constantly crashing and recovering documents? It's recovering documents when there was no crash. Completely insane.
