    I think you can use ALT+Left Cursor to go back, but a button would be nicer and more discoverable.

    Yes, this! Section number by itself doesn't give enough info, heading text by itself is no use when the document is printed, that's why we always use both.

    The whole dialog for adding cross-references is way overdue for an overhaul. Ideally, it should use a non-modal form or pane so you can leave the dialog open while you navigate the document adding references.

    We have managed to achieve both things you request by using Macros (standard review can make changes and comments, but can't Accept/Reject changes, approval review can only make comments). Sadly, I don't know exactly how we've done it, but it is possible!

    It's also difficult to distinguish comments and other track changes bubbles. Since makes it very easy to miss comments in a document with lots of changes.

    I agree, the revision pane has never been anything other than an annoyance. It's especially bad when you've split the view to go through the tracked changes and it throws you out of spit view mode to show you the revisions pane.
