Hi Emma, I don't understand what you are looking for. Please explain where you need more space. Then I can decide to vote or not to vote...

Use Ctrl+F, or "View | Navigation pane". Type a word, and all occurances of that word will be highlighted. And you will see an information, how many instances were found.
Alternative, you can use Ctrl+H | Find | Find in ...

    Hi,
In the Trust Center you can disable options to be warned before printing, saving, sending...
Nonetheless, I second your suggestion to provide a separate dialogue, or an option not to ask again in future...

After having inserted and formatted content of the header, you want to define a different header for the first page. So Word offers you a range for the header of the first page. It think, that's consequential. What would you expect?

A Word document will show ONE header by default. But you can enable a different header for first page, and additionally a different header for even pages. Then the document will show a maximum of THREE headers: first page, even pages, odd pages.
In a document with section breaks each section can show a maximum of 3 headers. By default, those headers are linked to headers of previous section.
    Same applies to footers...
So you just have not to remove header content of each page...

Users should have options to suppress paragraph spacing on top of pages, or to retain spacing on top of pages.
Especially for chapter headings users often need to retain spacing before.

Hi Darreld, did you ever try Ctrl+F?

In the German version of Word 2013 you can use ALT + CTRL + K. Instead of using a built-in shortcut key, you always can create your own (File | Options | Customize ribbon).

You could have asked for a solution in a forum... Double-click between top and bottom of two pages, that will show the white space. Or chose "File | Options | Advanced | Display | White space between pages in Print Layout View"

Although I usually minimize the ribbon - and also hide white space (margins on top and bottom) - I would appreciate "floating" panes, e.g. like the Styles pane.

Disable "File | Options | Advanced | Keep bullets and numbers when pasting text with Keep Text Only option". In future text will be pasted without numbering.
