I'd like to achieve the same APA formatting as with the desktop application of Word within the Word for Android app.
Within the desktop app, you'd select the "Reference" menu tab, input source information via the "manage sources" option, and then utilize the "insert citation" option for easy incorporation of source data into the document. Ideally, the same tab, same sources compilation abilities, and same insertion method would be present in the mobile app.

I really need my sources from the last 10 years that are at the references tab on my (desktop) Word. Now using a chromebook and I need an office 365 license even Iḿ already having a Microsoft desktop license... Can´t make use of the Word application at all! It would be great to have a working Word app with a references tab and my own sources from my desktop.

I'm using my tablet as my main device when out of office for academic writing and it becomes incredibly difficult to write without the integration of a reference tab. the formatting and font is difficult to go without, but this can be changed fairly easily once I can view the document on a PC, but with references trying to organise them post writing is a nightmare. Ideally Mendeley integration would be great like the plug in on PC, but I'd settle for the word inbuilt reference system as long as I could use them.

More and more students these days are choosing to use a tablet with a bluetooth keyboard as their main device. I think if Office wants to attain a larger market share they should think about incorporating more of the desktop features on mobile devices, specifically when it comes to writing papers (i.e. paragraph formatting, styles, and references/citations).
I second that idea. I'm a college student and military member that is constantly using APA format for my essays. And I would also suggest that the font should be in the read format size that is also editable. I'm starting to use my tablet even more and take everywhere, and do everything with it. But my tablet is 8.5 inches. I also want be in a font that is easily editable and readable. I need word to be reliable enough with all or most of the functionalities or word for a constantly moving student like me. If you can do those things, then I would be extremely satisfied with the product.
