word suggestion bar for Asian languages on iPad Pro w/ Smart Keyboard
After recent updates, inputting Asian languages that need to select words on an iPad Pro with Apple Smart Keyboard became very disappointing.
The size of word suggestion bar became incredibly huge when the file is set to fit the screen. Imagine 4 times larger words comparing to the normal size before updates on your screen when you try to work outside. Please fix this mistake ASAP.
I don't see this mistake on Excel or Powerpoint that updated at the same time.1 vote -
Implement automatic hyphenation in Word for iOS to get an consistent appearance of documents
To avoid different appearances of documents on desktop and on tablet (e.g. different page breaks!), automatic hyphenation should be implemented in Word for iOS too

Support metadata tagging within SharePoint libraries
It'd be useful to be able to tag documents within the Word app. At the time of writing, if a column within a library is marked as 'required', the file fails to upload.

Bring back "Pick up where you left off" and add in the ability to change the Author/Editor name ON THE APP for iPhone
These features are missing and at one time, you had the "pick up where you left off" feature. It would also be good to have the ability to change the Author/Editor name ON THE APP for iPhone, OR to have it be the same across devices from the phone to the computer, despite the differences in operating systems. The app for the iPhone and iOS platform is grotesquely behind in terms of compatibility. Fix this.

Expand the viewing area with-in Open tab
Please allow an expanded area of viewing for the files and folder when using an iPad Pro. When I go to the Open tab and navigate two folders in the last folder doesn't expand enough to read the entire file name. The windows should be adjustable for the user to view the entire name of at least more then what is currently provided.

VoiceOver does not speak outline levels
I train blind and visually impaired people to use special equipment to access computers. I create outlines to use in my training. I also use Microsoft Word on my iPhone. When I load one of my outlines into the iOS app, the outline livels like I. A. 1. a. etc don't speak so I cannot determine what level of my outline I'm looking at.

Word on iPad freezes when working with large documents
Hello,
Since the latest update, word on my iPad freezes when i'm working on a large document (500 pages of text). This didn't use to happen and now it is practically unusable. The app freezes for a long time then restarts. I work on this document on my Surface and 2 desktop computers without any issues. I also worked on this document without issue until i updated to last version of word. File is located on my OneDrive for Business location.
Thank you,
Serge

Auto update fields before saving/exporting a document
I work with documents that have fields in the footer that need to be updated before saving/exporting (i.e. proposal title, document number, etc.). There is no way to update this info in Word for IOS (iPad).

What is the status of the auto-ink problem fix for the word, excel, and PowerPoint mobile apps?
The mobile apps for Word, Excel, and the other apps need to allow the option to use an Apple Pencil or other stylus to be used to choose text, etc. as before, instead of going to draw automatically. Office apps were much more useful before this ridiculous change was made. I bought an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil primarily for choosing text in Word, etc., not for drawing!

Auto-save doesn't really save.
On Word for iPad when you hit the back arrow on the top right you have to save or delete the file, why? Normally you can do back and forth to the menu but not on the iPad. If you don't save it, even with auto-save on you lose the doc and can't go back. Auto-save should save it, the auto part of it, but doesn't always.

Add Quick Parts to iPad Word!
I would like to use Quick Parts with the word for iPad. Being more difficult to insert text on the iPad, using predefined texts would be a great way to create quicker documents.

Shared login with Outlook
With the iOS office suite I am required to login to each app separately, which can be quite frustrating when my password changes and I re-login to each app separately.
Apps made by other vendors (such as Google) allow shared account login accross all of it's apps where I only need to login once and all the apps just work.

Form filling for All Office Documents
Many clients use iPads for mobile experiences. Customers with O365 subscriptions do not want to purchase another subscription
just so they can fill in forms (that they already have a huge investment in with Office documents).
It would be really useful to be able to:1. Open a new Office form on a mobile device (e.g. iPad, iPhone, Android Phone/tablet, Windows phone/tablet/PC)
2. Fill in the form
3. Save back to a SharePoint document library, where workflows could then process that form etc.The use of Office documents as a form is required by these customers for the following reasons: …

Customizable keyboard shortcut bar
Please consider giving users the choice to customize the soft keyboard shortcut bar (introduced in iOS 9). The Scrivener app allows users to do this and it would be very helpful in Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well.
