Permanently Change/Set a New Default Font
This app is great! However, it would really be EXTREMELY helpful if you were able to permanently change/set your own choice of font so that it is automatically chosen for you when you open a new document and/or add in a text box. The default font for the iPad is currently the “Calibri” font, however this font is not as professional as some of the others. It would be AMAZING if you were able to change/set the font to your own personal preference such as “Times New Roman”. OR you could just change the app so the default font is automatically “Times New Roman” Size: 12 point, I feel this would also be a good solution given that Professionals and Students who write; books/articles/scholarly journals/school papers, etc. MAINLY use the 12 Point “Times New Roman” font because it is seen as the most PROFESSIONAL font!
I want a new font ,The Time New Roman. Is what I want as default. With the point as 12.
Definitely an upvote for me. I can’t stress enough how much more professional Times New Roman is over Calibri and much more common in the academic world.
For what it’s worth...Pages for ios can do this (according to macworld.com).
As you can probably tell, I have a similar problem.
When I copy a text in Times New Roman from Word and paste it in a discussion board thread in chrome or safari it changes the font to Calibri.
Does anyone have a good workaround?
Amen! Pretty please !! Thx for posting about this

Please for the love of god, Microsoft, read this post and make this change. Either give users the ability to set their own default fonts or at least make the default for everyone Times New Roman size 12. It is so frustrating having to change it every. Single. Time.

Actually, instead of changing just the default font, I'd rather see the ability to user format the styles on iPad. In that way, you would also have your default font as part of the Body text style.
I am so frustrated by it too!

Yes !! I am looking for the same thing !
I find it extremely bothersome that, while working on a multiple file document, I have to set up each new document when working on my iPad.. Please, Microsoft try something new. Actually empower people for a change regardless of their platform!

Yes! I would love this option as well. All of my papers for school need Times New Roman 12 and I would love if I didn’t have to think about changing it all of the time. Or even if we could type in the name of the font so we don’t have to scroll down to find it.
