So many new apps, the Medium app for example, are providing a Dark Mode for ease of use during darkened or nighttime viewing conditions. So, why hasn’t MS Word given us this choice? The eye strain for someone who does a lot of reading, writing, and editing in dark conditions is almost unbearable at times. You may as well shine a lamp in your face while working! But, seriously, it’s time for Microsoft to stop playing catch-up and be the leader they can be. Please, bring Dark Mode to the mobile MS Office apps, especially Word, ASAP! Thank you.

One feature I constantly find the need for is a cohesive, all-encompassing dark mode.
When drafting content for hours on end, an optional dark mode would go a long way in reducing eye strain. Very often I'm limited to working in low-light environments, so I hope you understand why I find the lack of this mode a major annoyance.
The black theme is a positive step, but its only limited to the UI elements. This leaves over 80% of the screen real estate a harsh barrage of white light.
"The page background colour can be changed to something dark to achieve what you are after."
True, however this is would require altering all the styles and document formatting to match. It's a "destructive" workaround.
More on this solution doesn't apply to the Outline view, a view I utilize a lot to plan my content structure.
Because of this I often find myself giving up on Word. I switch to drafting in OneNote, which has an excellent dark mode, then pasting my content back in Word. Not ideal, but until a true dark mode is introduced it'll have to do.
It would be ideal if all components of Microsoft Word on iOS, especially the editor, would default to the device setting. No one will assume it’s going to print white letters on a black page, so what gives? If I’m on an overnight flight or my wife doesn’t want the extra light, I don’t want to go through a bunch of steps to edit my document, only to have to edit it back when I’m in the light. What am I missing?

Dark mode is here, but the feature does not cover viewing or editing existing documents (at least not that I was able to find). Instead dark mode seems to apply only to navigation of menu options
iOS/iPadOS now has a built-in Dark Mode, which Word, Excel, etc are compatible with.
In Word for mac or PC it is possible to change a document's background color by going to the design tab and choosing page color, font colors will also change and create a dark mode of sorts. An alternative that would solve this problem is to enable that function on the iPad side.
They have it now it’s just impossible to turn on, they have no clear button to do so, the instructions they give you are ambiguous to say the least and no YouTube I could find where of any help
They have it now but no option to turn on and off like on the outlook app.
Tema scuro su iOS 13.1.2 per iPhone Xs
Now that IOS 13 and IPadOS is out, both with dark mode option, its only right to have Word to have the same.
Add dark mode like you did with the Outlook app.
May I know who you are and where you are
