Automatic saving when file not one ONE DRIVE
We are in a day when automatic savings are the norm, especially on mobile devices. Taking the time to manually save a document on a phone or iPad is a thing of the past.
But if my .doc files are in iCloud Drive and that I edit one of those on my iPad and just close it without taking the time to manually save it, then if I open the same file on my computer, this new version will supplant the others, and I will lose all job done on the iPad. This is not very cool.
Furthermore, in these instances, Office for Mac doesn't do like other softwares, which is to notify of conflicting versions, giving me the option to choose which version to keep. The previous unsaved version is simply discarded, and all the work is lost.
Considering that other apps/softwares have managed to resolve these sync/versions problems elegantly, I suppose that Microsoft can do it too...
