Allow commenting on footnotes.
Currently the biggest issue editors have with Word: you can't comment on footnotes! The only way to do this is to insert text (in parentheses/different color/etc) which can potentially introduce errors, or to add a comment on to the footnote number in the text, which makes for some difficult navigating for the author. Please give us the ability to comment on footnotes!

Automatically Save previous links and dropbox address
I have updated Microsoft and other Apps on Mac and PC but it keeps automatically signs out of everything after update and doesn't remember anything at all and the links. It keeps asking me to update and sign into everything and doesn't remember any details or previous login information. It is the worst company and bad programs and it constantly asking to update and login and register to the account and pay more money every time. It should always remember your details and I work for a business and we have to update and login in every computer to update…

Make the "Generate a description for me" button always available
The "Generate a description for me" button for image alt-text is only available when the auto-generate option is active. We currently encourage our users to turn the auto-generate feature off because it is not yet accurate enough for accessibility compliance and it causes false returns from automated accessibility checkers that simply look for the presence of text. Having the "Generate a description for me" button available when users are prompted to add alt-text to an image would be a nice option if they are looking for help getting started.

Implement Collapsable headings in Word for Mac
This feature available in Word for Windows is incredibly valuable, especially for long documents. When in Print View, the ability to collapse sections to focus on the desired one is missing on Word for Mac.

Possibly an issue caused by the update to Big Sur that an Office update hasn't been able to remedy yet
Since I upgraded Mac OS to the latest Big Sur (on both my iMac and Macbook), I started having issues with services such as “Speak Chinese” ("There was a problem with the input to the Service” message pops up ) and “Convert text to simplified/traditional Chinese” (no response).
These shortcuts work fine in other apps but not in Word.3 votes -
Allow option to print with simple markup (i.e., no comment margin)
I want to print or save a PDF copy of my document showing markups WITHOUT the space for comments. Please bring this back to Office 365!

Why is it so hard to change a doc to pdf.
Once you have a word document why is it so hard to change it to a pdf.
It should not be this **** hard.5 votes -
you can add grammarly
You can add Grammarly. That would be much better. The spelling check doesn't have all the words in the world (the one on word).

Recent documents in App Exposé like in Pages
In a plethora of applications on the Mac the App Exposé is used to show the recent documents opened by the application. In most Apple Work apps like Pages or Keynote recently edited documents show in a list at the bottom of the screen below the app window. Same happens in Preview and in third-party apps like for example Affinity Photo. This makes is super easy to swipe a touchpad with three fingers and open documents whenever working on a couple at a time.

About the problem that the layout collapses by the difference of the version
古いバージョンで作成したファイルを最新バージョンの Word for Mac で開いてもレイアウトが崩れないように修正を要望します。
Word for Mac 2008 で作成したファイルを最新バージョンの Microsoft 365 の Word で開くと文字の均等割り付けで日本語のみレイアウトが崩れて困っています。Request a fix so that the layout does not collapse when you open a file created in an older version of Word for Mac.
When you open a file that you created in Word for Mac 2008 in the latest version of Microsoft 365 Word, the layout of only Japanese is broken due to even character allocation.10 votes
