Automatic Format box when selecting text in Word
In the PC version of Word: when you select a portion of text, a format box automatically opens allowing the user to immediately format the text they have selected (without having to go to the top of the ribbon to format text e.g. to bold, italicise etc). This saves a lot of time when using Word and would be a very useful introduction to the Mac version.

Yes!!!!!! That is exactly how I feel. There has been numerous complaints about this, just worded differently. I don't know what it is called for Mac, but it is called the mini toolbar for Windows. The mini toolbar for Windows was extremely helpful but is not included on a Mac! As I review my document, cut and paste, it has become a tedious task to move my mouse between the Ribbon and the highlighted word!!! I like the convenience of the pop up mini toolbar under the highlighted word, it makes it very convenient!!!! Please give us the option of activating this feature, don't just take it out completely!!!!!!
