APA Citation Style in Word for OS X Doesn't Alphabetize Bibliography
This is only a problem in Word for OS X. In Word for Windows, the bibliography was alphabetized. When opening the Word file across platforms and updating the bibliography, the following message appeared:
"Warning: You do not have the bibliography style that is currently being used in this document. Completing this action will reformat the bibliography and citations to your default bibliography style. Do you want to continue?"
APA style requires an alphabetized bibliography. I'm SURE that this issue has come up many, many times before with students and academics who rely on Word to complete their large projects. Please address this issue ASAP. It's not a small detail. It's a basic word processing function, and this is completely wrong.
This is remarkable that this simple problem - which has major academic implications - still has not been resolved. Please fix this!
Yes, this is a very serious issue. If you provide an auto-formatting option, you need to ensure it follows proper citation formatting.
