Provide an option to turn off the mindless Welcome Back when opening a previously saved Word file!
It's a stupid annoyance. Why does software keep having to get in your face, reminding you of its existence and trying to establish some kind of infantile relationship. Juvenile coders at play here? Or a dedicated initiative to annoy the user? For pity's sake.
The lack of an opt-out for the interfering + zero added benefit of the "Welcome back" is a very poor UX design choice. It is akin to the abomination that was the set of Clippy animations for a few decades back (now gone, thanks to some sane and kind UX designers). Please eliminate the "Welcome back!" pin/behavior or provide an option to permanently disable it for all documents.
