Please fix intermittent jagged and horrible display of fonts in Word 2016!
In Word 2016 for Mac, many older files (that is, files not actually created in Word 2016) open with a very horrible and jagged looking display of fonts. Files created "fresh" with Word 2016 do not seem to have this problem. The really interesting thing about this, seems to be that this is exactly the same bug that was in Excel 2016 until November (until the 15.16 update); that is, as a user has pointed out on this Microsoft Answers thread (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/mac/forum/macoffice2016-macword/subpixel-antialiasing-doesnt-work-on-certain-docx/6c6b4cf6-f86f-4704-9e04-493e91e0cecc ), in affected files, if you highlight the jagged text with a colour from the ribbon, the font smoothing operates correctly. It's only when the text doesn't have a coloured background that the anti-aliasing is horrible. This is the same as the bug previously in Excel; there, cells which had a background fill colour (of any kind) displayed with proper anti-aliasing, it was only the cells with no fill that looked horrible. Microsoft, please fix this bug in Word for Mac!
This is inexcusable.
No solution here???

I found a workaround, though it's a bit of a pain. Open a new Word document, copy the entirety of the old document into it, and the jagged fonts disappear (at least they did for me). Then you can close the old, jagged font document and save the new document under the same name. I wish there were a simpler solution, but if there is, I haven't found it.

Just installed Office for mac 2016 and loaded my first word document and the fonts look terrible! It is like going back 15 years to before we had nice anti-aliased fonts (actually probably 20 years). I see it looks to be fixed in Excel now, but they really need to fix this for word also!!!
