Post a list of the improvements and fixes currently under development
It would be helpful to your customers to be able to see what issues are being worked on and what issues are slated for future fix/implementation. That should include a current estimate of delivery time.
I sense a lot of frustration on these pages. Having this method of providing you with our feedback helps, but only if you provide meaningful responses about what you plan to address. Black holes do not engender customer loyalty or appreciation.
I think Peter's suggestion about a list of suggestions and work in progress (searchable) is a good one and would really help all these users of the Microsoft Office applications. It would also be a good way for Microsoft to gauge how common each issue is (a tool for prioritizing the fixes) as same or similar issues would be grouped together.
I also agree there is a lot of frustration on these pages but I am also frustrated *because* of these pages.
There is virtually no organization or oversight to make this chaos useful to readers and posters so how can it be useful for those at Microsoft who are supposed to evaluate the contents?
How about setting up the system so people can post in appropriate places and where it is easy to see if their issues have already been posted by others? A simple table of contents would go a long way.
