I am sure I am not alone. This may be an El Capitan problem, but MS-Word (14.5.9 ) often crashes since I installed El Capitan (OS X [10.11.2]). Please fix!90 votes

It seems quite clear that Toolbars are gone forever in Office 2016 Mac, but I figure I should at least voice my discontent rather than passively accepting this poor decision. Its really too bad that there is no effective competition for Office. We'd probably have a much better product if there were.42 votes
Thank you for your feedback. Office now uses the ribbon exclusively, as a platform to increase efficiency and simplify command groupings. Further control is supported through customizing the ribbon or the Quick Access Toolbar as escribed in the following help content: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Customize-the-Ribbon-and-the-Quick-Access-Toolbar-in-Office-2016-for-Mac-26911d4c-4971-41cd-b606-5fbc0318f499

Add split screen view like OS X El Capitan "split screen view" for better productivity 2011 version and up
Hello. Ever since OS X El Capitan had SPLIT SCREEN VIEW, I tried it with mac version of words/ office apps...but it's not compatible. I guess you guys haven't thought about increasing productivity by making it allow the words...and other office apps to split screen with another app..or office apps. If i wanted to do a research paper, I would like to have MS words on one side as the websites with informations on other side...so that way i can easily type something from the source.
Please allow split screen view to happen. Thanks.128 votes
Thank you for the feedback. Split Screen View is supported for Word 2016 for Mac, but we have no plans to add support to older versions.
Thanks for the feedback! Adding Dropbox as a place is available on the iOS version of Office today. However, it is not yet available on Mac. We’ll consider this feature in the long term. In the meantime, we recommend you use the Dropbox sync client and access your Dropbox files through your Dropbox folder on your Mac, either from Office, or through Finder.
OneNote is not ready yet to replace this wonderful feature that was previously included in Word.
Thanks for your feedback. Now that OneNote is available for Mac with Office, we recommend using it for all your note taking needs. As a part of the Office family it is easy to get started.
