  3. in-text citations and works cited (especially IEEE)

    Built-in ieee citations do not sort alphabetically unless converted static and in-text citations don't renumber from least to greatest when you add a new citation. Also the built-in citation is not perfect because it not have every field (ex. citing dissertations) , but this is expected so it would be good to have a custom option where an entire citation can be done manually and you just have the software include in the end of your works cited list and associate a number with it that would be convenient for in-text citations.

  5. Word for Mac does not detect spelling and grammatical errors in documents previously saved in Windows

    Word for Mac does not detect spelling and grammar errors in documents that my coworkers saved with the language setting "Spanish (Dominican Republic), or Colombia, Mexico or any other country", which are not in Word for Mac (only Spanish and Spanish (Traditional). So, to correct it I have to change the language to Spanish in all documents. So why only these two Spanish language options, when Windows there are many? Why not correct if in anyway, the language is still Spanish?

    I think that this can be fixed if Microsoft set up the same grammar checker used in Word for…

  6. Word for Mac no detecta los errores ortográficos en documento previamente grabados en español en Windows

    Word for Mac no detecta los errores ortográficos y gramaticales de los documentos que mis compañeros de trabajo guardaron con la configuración de idioma “Español (República Dominicana), o Colombia, México o cualquier otro país”, los cuales no está en Word for Mac (solo Español y Español (Alfabetización Tradicional). Entonces, para que corrija tengo que en todos los documentos cambiar el idioma a Español. Entonces ¿Por qué sólo estas dos opciones de idioma Español, cuando Windows hay muchos? ¿Por qué no corrige si en cualquier caso sigue siendo el idioma es Español?

  9. Add the plus symbol to add rows and columns as with the windows version.

    Make tables in Word for Mac easier to use with the plus symbol to add rows or columns in tables. Also allow for deleting contents of multiple cells rather than being aske to delete the cells entirely.

  11. saving documents is a pain...

    saving documents is a pain... I can not autosave on my macAir to my macAir... I have to save to the cloud. and then it takes me longer find my document than it did to create it in the first place.

  12. In Word comments, please have automatic capitalization of first letter of a sentence, days of week, months, etc. .

    The text in comments should work just like the normal text does with spellcheck, capitalization and auto-correct. After a period there should be a capital letter. Days of the week, months, etc. should be capitalized. We should also be able to use our custom auto-correct. All of these were available before the major change in comments last May.

  13. I should be able to share in so many other way - other than on one drive

    I should be able to share the doc - via email, other social media apps etc. instead of getting out of word

  20. "Show All Bibliography Fields" checkbox should maintain last-selected state.

    Word 16.4 for Mac. The Show All Bibliography Fields checkbox defaults to off (unchecked) even if it was previously enabled (checked). The state of this checkbox should be maintained. It's incredibly annoying to have to enable it every time to add or edit an entry.
