  2. Microsoft Office 2016 does not support Equation editor 3.0.

    I am Maths teacher. After installing Microsoft office 2016, since it does not support Equation editor 3.0, all equations cannot be viewed and edited. That means Maths teachers from all around the world cannot edit their notes any more. So I sincerely ask for your help to buy the license from Mathtype again. Thanks.

    Thank you for your feedback. As noted in the Changes to Office 2016 article (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt715497(v=office.16).aspx) Equation Editor 3.0 is no longer supported by Office. These objects can still be edited if you have the MathType plugin installed. We are aware of the issues with Equation Editor 3.0 and are considering potential mitigations, though as this equation editing is no longer supported we encourage you to use Microsoft’s built-in equation editing tools instead where possible.

  3. Allow us to copy and paste photos into a document on line, not just uploading a filename.

    I have photos I need to copy and paste from another document. They don't have filenames in my computer. But I need to insert them into a final document I am co-athoring with a Word Processing volunteer in Dropbox.

  4. Don't Use Word Online

    Don't use word online and go back to using word (the app on your desktop) because sometimes word online won't work due to internet complications.

  5. Conversation view should show all messages from any folder related to a conversation

    In conversation view in a folder all messages related to the conversation do not show. For example, sent messages or deleted messages.

  6. inserting lines and shapes

    Students who insert math problem may want to graph their answer, i suggest that word put in a few things that would help us make any type of graph we want.

  7. Let us create 1 "Backup folder"

    Activating the "Always create backup copy" in Word means you'll create a backup folder with the files name in the same folder, which starts to pollute your folders after a while.

    Let us create 1 back folder with all backup files...

  9. PLEASE make preferences sticky in track changes.

    I'm being told there is no current workaround for this issue in Word for Mac 2016: Using Word for Mac 2011 we were able to set preferences for track changes. However, now we cannot, and Word "resets" to the default each time for markup options, balloons, etc. Please change this to provide another or an expanded existing icon in Word/Preferences so that we (who edit hundreds of documents per month) can tell Word that in EACH document I edit, please make the changes this way.   11. Why don't you keep the same functions as in Word 2011?

    Office Mac 2011 is very complete. However in Office Mac 2016 we miss various functions (such as import .bas files in VBE, etc.). It makes the application very incomplete. Sometimes I find it unusable. To this, we must add tons of crashes when working with the Word, Excel, etc.

    Do keep same functionality as in Office 2011.

  12. Increase filename field in "Save As..." bar

    Filename field in "Save As ..." dialog box is very short. The insertion of long filenames (more then 30 symbols) is inconvenient.
    Need to appropriate a long name to the file arises quite often.
    The filename field in Word for Mac doesn't increase by changing the size of "Save As ..." dialog window (as opposed to Word for Windows).

  13. Show All Revisions Inline BY DEFAULT

    Show All Revisions Inline (or Show Only Comments and Formatting in Balloons) by default (for all documents). It is more convenient for most of users.

  14. Your document window starts on left corner...please fix this. (office 2011 word)

    When you start a new document, the positioning of the window starts off at the top left (from previous version, it starts in the middle of the screen). When you position the first document in the middle and open up a 2nd new document, it opens up at top left screen. The problems are: 1) Documents don't open up on top left corner. 2) The second or more new documents should NOT be opening up top left corner position when it should be opening up on your current position. It should be overlapping.

  15. Vocabulary words...please update them...integrate with dictionary.com or something. (2011 office mac)

    It would be great to update vocabulary words...and grammar as well. It would help with writing essays.

  16. Please fix default setting of the viewing document. (mac os x el Capitan with office 2011)

    Whenever I start a new document on word, it starts off with weird document page on the LEFT SIDE of the screen. I thought it would be in the middle of the screen...i guess not. I think it's a bug. Please put an option in the word application where i can click default and will lead to default screen with all the default tools..or whatever.

  17. Make the default font selection for equations actually work with 3rd part fonts

    Changing the default font for equations does not work properly. Saving the document changes the fonts of the equations to a strange combination of Cambria Math and the indented font (ie XITS Math or Minion Math - both work fine with Word for Windows).

  18. Make it easy to create our personal defaults for word (example, MLA formatting).

    Every time students start to use word, I have to teach them to change font, get rid of the space after paragraphs, etc. It would be better if it were easier to create personal templates or pick MLA for example.

  20. Bring back NOTEBOOK LAYOUT

    Notebook layout made taking notes at school easier and kept things far more organized. Please bring it back.
