  1. Mac version is missing Apply Styles dialog box from Windows version

    Word for Windows has an "Apply Styles" dialog box with "Autocomplete style names" checkbox. This would be VERY helpful on the Mac version, so that we can apply styles by typing with autocomplete.

    Please add this feature to the Mac version!

  4. I just spent two and a half hours trying to find "view side by side" on my mac. I need it for my my work. enough said....

    ADD "VIEW SIDE BY SIDE" TO THE MAC VERSION OF WORD!! I just spent two and a half hours trying to find it. I need the function in order to do my job. What's the deal?????

  5. Restore Session / Re-open Documents from Last Session on App Launch

    Similar to a browser "reopening tabs from last session" it would be extremely helpful to have word automatically re-open any documents that were being edited when it was last quit. Older versions of Word could do this and the native Apple apps like Preview (for all its many other issues) typically do as well. This is a badly missed feature in my workflow and is something that I know a lot of people at work miss dearly. We still have one Word 2008 holdout as a result. (A security issue at this point I think). Thank you.

  6. Add Mini Toolbar (Floating Toolbar) for Macs

    Please add the Mini Toolbar (Floating Toolbar) to MS Word for Macs. All of my work requires Word and this toolbar saves a lot of time!

  7. Lose the 'Welcome Back' notification.

    Please drop the 'Welcome Back' notification when a work in progress document is opened or, provide an option to turn it off. It is an inane annoyance. We are not children.

  8. Provide way to insert Style Separator.

    There is no way to insert a style separator in Word for Mac. This cannot be a difficult function to implement, and it makes the Mac version unsuitable for editing highly structured legal documents. Thanks!

  9. Work cited sorting bug

    When we update the bibliography for work cited in word for Mac, it suppose to sort in alphabetical order automatically, but it didn't.

  10. Word 2008 and Mojave

    Cannot print with Word now that I am using Mojave on my MAC. Also, AutoUpdate cannot connect. What is the plan for correction?

  11. Please add support for Latex to the equation editor!

    I am a research scientist and it is really a burden to use the equation editor without support for Latex under Word365 for mac. Please add the Latex support! thanks!

  12. Please get rid of message about downloading fonts

    Every time I want to change a font in WORD, I get a string of messages saying something like "Microsoft wants to dowload the font "some obscure font name". [Skip] or [Download]. So i have to skip 4 or 5 such messages each time. Please fix this

  13. Option To Turn Off Cloud Fonts in Word for Mac

    Please provide an option to turn off cloud fonts in the Mac version of Word as you do in the Windows version. I've had to return to version 16.16 to get away from such a large font menu.

    日本語での編集時、以前は「環境設定→表示→編集記号の表示→スペース」で表示できていた「全角スペース」が表示されない。全角スペースも□で表示できるようにしてほしい。I need to visualize not only normal (half size) spaces but also whole size spaces in japanese as "□", it was possibile with old japanese version of MS word. Thank you.

  16. Please fix this problem with arrows and lines!!!

    Every time I insert an arrow shape and try to move it or resize it, the arrow goes from a straight line to having a slight diagonal. It snaps right over the vertical position, making it impossible to set the arrow straight again.
    I have read all the other topics dealing with this problem, but none had a solution that worked for me. And no, getting the arrow in exactly the right place and exactly the right size the very first time you draw it is not a solution.
    Holding shift while drawing the arrow does not make it stay…

  17. Quotation Marks

    Hello

    I would love to have a switch to change the Quotation Marks.

    From French Style, to the Swiss German Style and the German Style. They are all different, but I have always to change the Language to get the ones I want. So it would be cool if in the Preferences it has an option to choose which one we want.

  18. Save as PDF - PDF version standard

    Export/Save as PDF should use the same PDF version standard across all Microsoft products for example version 1.7 regardless if using Mac, Windows, iOS, Android, or Microsoft Online and regardless of using the option use Microsoft online service to generate the PDF or using the local service.
    This consistency is critical to having a consistent and supported cross platform user experience with PDFs being used or printed which were created by Microsoft products.

  19. Add Frequency Count/Index of Vocabulary Usage

    For all the creative writers who use Word, it would be helpful to be able to run a report/index that shows how often one has used each specific vocabulary word in a document. For example, if you're a novelist, you want to know in reviewing your work which vocab words you are using too often so you can go back and edit/change it up some (so as to sound less repetitive).

  20. Add choice to NOT share diagnostic data

    After the latest Office update, every time I open an Office app, I am presented with a window with the heading, "Share how you use Office" and given two choices: "Full diagnostic data" and "Basic diagnostic data." However, I don't wish to automatically share any diagnostic data, although there is no option for that. However, I am not forced to make a choice, as I can simply click the red "X" to close the window and continue to use Office as normal.
