  1. Limiting characters per line

    As described in the link, I frequently faced some essay direction that the essay must be no longer than 120 eighty-lines of text (including spaces and blank lines).

    If I add texts or change the
    -calligraphic style
    -text pt (size)
    -paper size (A3, A4)
    -paper margins

    I have to check every single line to check whether I have not violated the instruction.

    Due to this inconvenience, I wish for a feature for Word 2016 or Word on Office 365 to make a new line when the character limit (with an option including/not including spaces for counting) has been met.

  3. Serious bug in customized ribbon after the most recent update

    First of all, the ability to create a customized ribbon is an essential productivity feature for those of us who use Word on a daily basis. It allows us to quickly locate the functions we need rather than flipping through multiple steps.

    The ribbon customization features are already a bit lacking in Word and they need improvement. And unfortunately, the most recent update seems to have broken it completely.

    Now, when I open any Word document, my custom ribbon is simply greyed out. It is there, but the entire thing has been reduced to an "inactive" presentation. None of the…

  6. Follow table of contents hyperlinks using one click When you in Word, hyperlinks are

    About midway down the 'Create a table of contents in Word' page it says,

    "Follow table of contents hyperlinks using one click
    When you in Word, hyperlinks are... "

    I think it should be, "When you are in Word, hyperlinks are... "

  8. Make it so auto hyphenation (or none) can be set in the style sheets or by highlighting a text box -- instead of all/none as it is now

    Right now if you have a MS Word (2016) document set to auto hyphenate, it affects the entire document. I would like to be able to highlight a section (like a bibliography) and turn off the hyphenation for just that section. However, if I do that, it turns it off for the entire document. Manual hyphenation is not a good solution for a long document. It would even be better to be able to set that in the style sheets so hyphenation choices could be saved in templates.

  9. APA , make a own insert for laws in the reference list..

    the reference list has its own place for chapters and so on, but not for laws you find and want to refer to, then you have to manually put them in.. please fix this

  10. Spelling proofing for Czech language (Office 365)

    Microsoft Word 2010 was able to check your grammar (red underline) and spelling (green underline) in Czech language.

    In Office 365 (Word) there is only option in settings to check your grammar although both versions should use the same dictionary from the same folder (C:\Users"USER"\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\UProof).

    It would be really nice to have this functionality back since it helps find many mistakes.

    Is it possible this feature will come back in future update?

  11. Make picking a copy of Office in an account more certain.

    I have several copies listed under one Microsoft account. During the activation I have to pick one, but it doesn't tell me the date or installation key of any of them, so I guess. Then if I pick the wrong one, then later it tells me that I have activated that copy on too many machines. Not my intent, but I have no clear way to manage this mess.

  12. ADD TABS TO MICROSOFT WORD SO I CAN DIVIDE MY WORK BY SECTIONS OR CHAPTERS. OR EVEN TO VIEW MULTIPLE DOCUMENTS IN ONE WINDOW. THIS IS 2018.

    It's 2018. Get with the program. Incorporate a tab function into MS Word. Surely this is simple code!

  15. Fix the handwriting-to-text autocorrect

    When using a pen in the handwriting panel to convert to text, if I select a word from the suggestions above, it often converts it to something else or the previous entry when I write the next word.

  18. Text-only view also for formatted documents

    Maybe Word can take an example from projects such as MarkDown.
    I'd like a text-only view where is only see the text that I wrote, and a few indicators if it's a title or some other formatting. It would be independent of other factors such as text size, text fonts, and other things. This way I could make creatively-styled documents while still not being too distracted from the strange font that I'm using. It would be a nice alternative to the design-first approach that Word is always using.

  20. Re Tas Bar Icons

    Word and Outlook should have different coloured icons ... currently they are both blue, and when they sit on my task bar, I'm constantly grabbing the wrong one because they look so similar. Every other Office program has its own colour (Excel is green; PowerPoint is orange; etc.) so why not these two?
