Table Border Display
For tables that extend from one page to the next, I would like to show "table continued" by suppressing the bottom border on the first page and the top border on the succeeding page. There seems to be no way to do this except to split the table, which is very inconvenient, especially if the table position moves vertically.
PS or simply allow the row to split over pages (in Table Properties, Row, tick 'Allow row to break across pages')
Maybe I'm not following correctly. I just remove the bottom border from page 1 and sometimes have to also remove top border from page 2. This gives an open bottom on first page and open top on second - is that what you're trying to do?

Agreed, Stephen. The Microsoft Manual of Style, Fourth Edition, recommends the format you describe. And yet, in true Microsoft fashion, they don't provide a way to conform to their own style guide. The left hand nerds don't know what the right hand nerds are doing.
