Inserting Excel files as objects into Word document
I have Windows 10 Pro and 2016 versions of Word and Excel at my office. When inserting an object into Word by creating it from a file (Excel spreadsheet), I can no longer size the window around the Excel spreadsheet to show exactly what I want. Word randomly pulls in too much of the Excel file and then no longer allows you to adjust or correct that window. When I had a computer that had Windows 7 Professional and 2007 versions of Word and Excel, I could do all of the things I needed to do to the pulled-in spreadsheet. Now I have to rely on that old computer to make corrections to the pulled-in objects and I'm being told that Windows 7 is not secure and I will not be able to keep that computer connected to the server to be able to make the adjustments I need to correct from the Windows 10 and 2016 versions of Word and Excel. Are there any updates, patches or known fixes for this problem? This problem was not happening until the most recent Microsoft update. Help!

I have been working with Chitrahaas Nalla MSFT in Microsoft Community and he/she agrees with my issues but has no resolution. Maybe newer versions of Word and Excel are better....I don't know.
