In OneNote and Excel there is a "Lasso tool" which can select hand written annotations written with an active pen, I find this very useful to select handwritten text or equations (e.g. I want to move it around or scale it). in Word you can click each annotation and move it around, but for text or equations, this can mean clicking 10-20 different annotations to move a couple of sentences/equations and when word groups the annotations together you loose the ability to move words/symbols relative to each other. It all works beautifully in the "ink to math" input panel, but there i cannot paste my actual ink in to word (the equation recognition is not sufficient for complicated symbols).
