MS Word Icon needs to be a distinctive color
The current coloring of the Outlook, and Word icons are too similar in the default color scheme. My employers settings do not allow me to change the color scheme and as such I confuse the two programs at least 6 times a day. Please do do something to address this.
I found out how to change the Outlook icon back to yellow (instructions e.g. here
when Outlook is not started up, so the first time I launch Outlook I do not confuse the two, but when Outlook starts up, the Outlook icon on the the lask (?) bar at the bottom of the screen reverts to a blue identical to that of Word, and so I also confuse the two 6 times a day. I h ave seen a way of changing several registry settings so that even the the post-launch icon reverts to yellow but these settings did not work on my Japanese language word.
I'd use Libre Office were it not for the momentum that MS has, In order to maintain its momentum and yet keep selling MS needs to keep making changes so as to differentiate upgrades, and these inevitably include random annoying ones like changing the icons to the same colour in two of the most commonly used programs.

It's a long, drawn-out, and self-absorbing process.
However, I'll tell you a secret: It involves selfishness.
How can I be more like you?
I know... I know.
You're a genius!
