It would be nice if in settings you could set a certain font as your default instead of Calibri. So every time you created a new doc it would be the default font and not always Calibri.
You can! There are two ways to change the default font for new documents. actually, you can already do this. But maybe the UI could be more discoverable.

You can already do this.
First, go to the 'Design' tab in the Word ribbon.
Next, click 'Fonts', and click 'Customise Fonts...'.
Next, select the fonts you'd like, then click 'Save'.
Lastly, go back to the 'Design' ribbon, and click 'Set as Default', when the prompt window opens, click 'Yes'.
Now, the fonts you have selected will be used by default in new documents.
