Improve digital signatures
Improving digital signatures, I believe that in the near future this will be a feature that is used much because the tendency is to stop using paper, so the use of alternative mechanisms such as digital signatures (certificates) or (biometrico as tablets wacom) will be one of the features that users will use daily.
Currently the functionality of digital signatures work well, however as a user think it could be improved by including more information regarding errors during the process of signing, suggestions on how to fix some errors in the firms, make more beautiful generally provide more elements tools for firms, even have their own tab with unique tools for firms, for example the possibility of signing with a wacom or surface windows, more information about certificates, mechanisms to enter fingerprint, tablet so there are many possibilities.
Thanks for your feedback! We’re reviewing your suggestion.

I would also like to see the ability to allow multiple signed documents in situ. At the moment it looks to me that I cannot create a document for signing by more than one person when they have shared access to the document, i.e. in a SharePoint library. I would envision that the first signatory (not necessarily Signature1) would lock the document text for further editing but allow subsequent signatures without losing the others. Signatures would occur in any order. The user signing the document should be able to so from *any* device. Networked PC, wifi online connected, tablet or phone device (all with Word Online or similar)

There should be an option to lock the document, or not, as part of the electronic signature set up. Our organisation has documents with sections that have to be signed off in succession with continual editing to the next section.
In a word document where multiple level of approval is envisaged, there must be a provision at every level to add comments (may be a paragraph) to the document prior to the approval by the next higher level and so on till the last level.
Another improvement for signatures would be to have a default photo assigned for your signature. Having to browse to it every time is time-consuming. Additionally, when you click "select image" the next page either allows you to browse your computer or browse clip art... This seems a bit ridiculous. Who is going to browse clip art for their signature? Just one more unnecessary click. It should default immediately to browsing the computer, or better yet your saved preferred image!
There is one comment I would like to make about digital signatures in MS Word.
I work in the Air Force and we often have to send documents forward for digital signature. Oftentimes, these reviews entail many layers of review and signature. Let's say the 5th person is about to sign the document and only wants to make a small change, their changes should not invalidate the other user's signatures...or at least give us that option not to invalidate them.
For instance, the first option could be to have all signatures go invalid if anything is changed on the document.
The second option could be to keep all previous signatures on the document and not invalidate them if a superior wants to make a few changes but does not want to send the document around for a second round of reviews and signatures. Please contact me if I was not clear in my explanation and/or you would like more comments and background info on the problems we are encountering.
Add more options to sign, for example:
Electronic signatures Biometric systems
Sign with wacom signature pad (STU-430, STU-530, DTU-1141, DTU-1031
In Surface Pro 4, sign with Surface Pen.
In Mac OS X using an Ipad and a pencil, draw the signature.
Android using a tablet and a pencil, draw the signature.
Electronic signatures with biometrics (Fingerprint)
Options to enter firm fingerprint using biometric systems.
Digital signatures (digital certificates, PKI)
Option to sign using certificates, extending this functionality by providing more information to the end user as being an unknown subject, the common user does not use this functionality for lack of knowledge and if we add that the environment where you have to sign is unfriendly or usable, loses interest.
Also must provide more information to the user about errors and give you the option or the opportunity to resolve them easily, for example:
As a user I get error messages:
The selected certificate can not be verified, check the network connection.
Signature recoverable: Unable to verify the signer's certificate. Try again later or check the network connection.
For a common user who does not usually use this feature, when you get these errors simply does not know what you are talking about. Therefore you lose interest or simply stop using it.
Allow to manage certificates, currently only lists them.
Allow to manage trusted entities (certificates certifying entity) or manage the certificate store windows.
Improve usability and make more beautiful signature tools.
Create a tab on the toolbar for the exclusive use of signatures. With all the options set forth above and those that already exist.
