numbering comment
How can I number my comments in word 2013?
This feature should be back as soon as possible in next update. :)

not looking for any work around, we need exactly that feature back asap.

This was an extremely useful feature and removing it really hinders collaboration to the point where "downgrading" to a better version of Word is the only solution.
This needs to be fixed and is a serious oversight by Microsoft. -

I agree. I used to be able to say in a comment, "See [comment number such-and-such] below", but how do I refer to a specific comment now? I know the numbering was dynamic, but humans are smart enough to compensate for that. I can't for the life of me understand why this feature was removed.

My version of Word 365 does not track "comments" with numbers in the text and Summary pane like the old version. "Comments" are numbered in the main document but the numbers do not appear anymore in the summary pane, and the omission creates huge problems for writers and editors when there are more than a couple comments. We cannot be certain which comment in the Summary page matched the mark in the main body of text. I need to transfer any project with "comments" to my older computer to avoid troubles I had with a major translation and recording project. Please bring back the numbering system for Comments that Microsoft had with Word 2007. I'll be happy to follow up with screen shots showing the issue.
