Restore pinned folders in Save options in all Office products
Before the most recent branch 16.0.6568.2025 we had the ability to pin frequently used folders we saved document in, in all parts of Office. Since this new version it takes more steps to save files in the places we want them. Many people are upset by this change. Please bring back this ability to pin directories. See othger feedback below.

Please! Please! Please bring back pinning folders. The loss of this makes saving files an absolute nuisance. Why eliminate such a useful feature???

Please bring back pinning folders. I open hundreds of files a day and need an easy way to get to the FOLDERS. The additional seconds hunting for files adds up when done hundreds of times a day.

Please, PLEASE for crying out loud put the option to pin folders back in the office suite. This is a feature i used many times a day, particularly in Excel. Forget about the cloud, if my internet is down i still need to access folders!
I have multiple users that rely on this dozens of times a day. Please restore this.

Yes, please! This change has added multiple clicks to my day. A small thing but clicks add up!
Yeah we just recently started testing Office 2016 so we can move to that and we have quite a few users who are missing this function as well. Unless there is a new process MS has not described I think this would be very beneficial to add back.
efficiency is much lower because the Save As Recent Files was removed from Excel 2016
please put it back, even if it is a configurable option
I can assure you, this change did not encourage me to save my files on the cloud, it only decreased the value of Excel by reducing my efficiency

agreed, I reinstalled 2013 when I lost all my pins but got tired of the constant reminders to upgrade so I did. Really ticked that I can't pin folders or documents anymore.
IT just upgraded to 2016 from 2013. I had an extensive list of doc's in excel and word pinned to my taskbar icons. Now they're all gone! I'm reading various articles on this, but none of the purported solutions are working. While 2016 appears nice, this loss of pinned files is a catastrophe. We save these links to increase productivity. The time required to manually restore these is horrendous.
Very disappointed in Microsoft. Having the ability to pin folders you use on a regular basis saved me the aggravation of going through multiple folders to get to a file. Please don't suggest pinning the folders to my favorites because I have too many of them. Plus, when I go to browse the "Open" window the left side menu doesn't always start at the top. Please bring this feature back.
Really steamed my wife when I swapped out our old PC, hopped up, SSD, extra RAM - and the first thing she discovers is that pinning of files and folders is gone. Y'all are putting me in the doghouse!
PLEASE bring this feature back! The majority of my computer usage is for work and we store files in a network drive, bot the C drive. I NEED to be able to get to frequently used folders quickly.

When I first saw the new Save As set in Word I assumed it was some kind of bug in the software. I can't imagine why anyone would make such a retrograde step in an update. Please go back to previous Save As, with recent folders, and ability to pin required folders.

Since we are all at your mercy in having updates automatically downloaded and installed on our PCs, may I make one request? Could you please not remove all of my recently used files and pinned documents from my office suite applications every time you automatically update my apps? It is really a colossal waste of time to have to find all of that information and re-pin it after every update. I am certain I'm not the only one who feels this way. Could you Please, Please fix this?

Removing this option is simply user-hostile. Why would you take out something that was already there, was invisible if you didn't use it and was a massive time-saver if you did? What advantage would the user get from no longer having this? Please just bring it back ASAP!
Agreed!! I just updated and it's driving me crazy without this functionality. Please fix.
