Restore pinned folders in Save options in all Office products
Before the most recent branch 16.0.6568.2025 we had the ability to pin frequently used folders we saved document in, in all parts of Office. Since this new version it takes more steps to save files in the places we want them. Many people are upset by this change. Please bring back this ability to pin directories. See othger feedback below.

Agreed. I hope I understand correctly the concern - in Outlook 2016 we cannot pin a frequently used document and have it stay more than a day. The next day my pinned docs are gone. I've called our help desk and they are investigating as well. If this is not the case and there is a way to permanently pin a document (both excel and Word) I'd like to know. Thanks!

I absolutely agree with this. It was a great feature.

This was so helpful and now it is so hard to find the frequently used folders. Please put it back and soon!

Please restore this feature. It was really useful and the extra clicks I have to use each day is running in to the hundreds!

Please, restore it, as it is really crazy to make anything more difficult than in previous versions. Sorry, but I dont get it...

Please restore the feature to pin folder and list Recent folders. This removal is making office harder to use effectively.

Bring back pinned folder feature. I use the same 10 files over and over...BUT...if I happen to open a lot of folders in between, I lose them in the "Recent folders". Bring back the pinned feature..especially in Excel.

I had no idea that buying an Office 365 subscription would actually make it harder to use Office.
Please restore this feature.

Totally counter-intuitive and infuriating to remove such a useful and time saving feature.
Microsoft seem hell bent on railroading people down their preferred route - saving to the cloud, with blatant disregard for the needs of the actual users. What were they thinking - oh, they weren't!! -

Why? for God's sake did you remove this (and other valuable features)?
This is a clear downgrade of functionality. I hope that I will not find even more crippled features in the other parts of the Office product. This will be a clear indication NOT to use the actual software in the future but rather stay with perhaps 'oldfashioned' but more useful products. -

The ability to pin folders to the Open menu is an extremely user friendly option that saves several clicks. I really hope Microsoft will listen to the voice of actual users and bring this feature back for all Office programs.

Bring back pinned folders. I am part of pilot in our office and I noticed this within 5 seconds of launching as I use locations a great deal

Bring back pinning folders and allow your recent and pinned files to not clear randomly. Is there any fix to get the pinned items back? Very frustrating!

I can't believe this feature was removed. It's causing me constant headaches since I upgraded. As a developer, this is joke and a nightmare and I can't for the life of me fathom why you'd remove this feature.

I second ALL of the comments below! Microsoft has made everything more difficult in the 2016 version.

Please restore this feature. Business people ave relied on this for decades and it is extremely difficult to convert to a more primitive, less feature-rich new version of Word.
