Update URL after selecting Viewing mode from the Mode Menu drop-down
Opening a document in the Editing mode of Word for the web takes a lot longer than Viewing mode, so if a user wants to add a document to their Favorites or pin it to their Start Menu for quick reference, it would be preferable for it to open in Viewing mode.
However, when changing the mode from the Mode Menu drop-down from Editing to Viewing, the URL isn't updated, so when you create the shortcut, it opens the document in Editing mode.
It is possible to manually edit the URL by searching for the "action=default" and replacing it with "action=view", but the vast majority of users wouldn't know how to do that.
When switching views, the URL in the address bar should be updated accordingly, so that the document opens in the selected view when the favorite or shortcut is accessed.
