Make the Dictate feature remain on and active until it is intentionally turned off by the user...like Nuance Dragon dictation does; please.

I agree with the request and other comments.
Please provide a feature that allows users to set the duration before Dictate turns off.
User set turn-off time should be up to 120 seconds.
Should also include an user option to leave Dictate on until user explicitly turns Dictate off. (That is, turn-off duration = never.)
The current 15 second default is much too short and seriously reduces the usability of MS Dictate. If MS doesn't fix this, I will start using Dragon instead.
Fix this problem or people and myself will use another service even if we have to pay for it. I tried using it this week and got on Geek Squad to help me - no luck. Please fix this glich asap? Thank you.

Please can you change the Dictate function to remain on until the user chooses to switch off. It's frustrating when you take a moment's pause to gather your thoughts and it turns off. Somewhat halts the flow. Thank you.
Good work productivity suggestion. If dictation does not capitalize words, by the time I make the correction dictation shuts off. Very frustrating. The dictation time limit should be fully adjustable. This comment applies to outlook dictation as well.
I love this idea. I really wish they do do this because it is a lovely suggestion. And plus my computer always turns off after 10 to 11 minutes which is sad!!
It shuts off too quickly?
you should be able to set a shut down time, currently it is far too short.
It shuts off too quickly. Please adjust it to allow for moments of silence.

Give me the option whether I want it to auto turn off or not. It is tedious to be constantly turning it back on when I move my cursor.

Dictate is a potential time-saver. But having to keep switching it on after each short piece of dictation takes time. So it defeats the object. Unless the Dictate feature remains "on" it is not worthwhile having. I'd like to know the logic of having it switch off after just a few seconds. Makes no sense to me.
Or at least remain on for an adjustable time limit. Shut off too quickly

Please fix the dictation feature to not turn off automatically but only when the user choose to close the dictation program.

Having an auto switch off (and not making the time adjustable) makes this excellent facility useless for those doing research

It's a very necessary feature to keep the Dictate function ON even if there are a few minutes of silence (when you're gathering your thoughts)

It is fine to have a time limit for the dictate feature by default, but users should be able to do the following:
1) Force dictate to continue listening even when there is silence (ignore silence).
2) Force dictate to continue listening until user manually stops it.

Yes. please. This is important for me!
