When a change is accepted, track changes automatically jumps to the next tracked change. However, as an editor, I need to see the final text and all spacing and punctuation, which is not easy to see with strikethrough. So I am accepting text, then clicking Home, Undo to find it again---it's amazingly inefficient compared with desktop Word. Please at least allow the user to click "Accept and go to next change" OR just "Accept" (and stay put).

Such a feature is very well needed in Word.
It needs to be part of online service as well.
It keeps the clutter to as less extent as possible.
And helps in improving the productivity.

I vote for a Status Bar indicator.

Even though Track Changes doesn't work in Word Online, there's a small notification at the bottom of the screen that tells the user when Track Changes is on for a document. I suggest that:
1) This notification should appear in view mode as well as edit mode
2) This notification should be more prominent (at the top, similar to the Excel notification that this workbook contains features not supported and you need to open in Excel to view them)
