Please don't say "it's just you here now
When you are editing a document with another person, when they leave it says it's just you here now. This makes me feel lonelier than I am already.
Hi, thanks for the great idea.
The Word for Web product has a new experience for how to show other people who are also editing the document in real-time. As part of this new design experience we no longer say “If’s just you here now.”
The new design includes profile pictures (if available,) makes it clear which color applies to which person, and also indicates when people are inactive (not moving their cursor for 15 mins.)
oh no :'((

Hi, I'm on the team that worked on this UI, and we put some thought into what this text should be. We didn't want to say "alone" or "by yourself" for the very reason you point out. We considered, "Everyone has left the document," but that felt negative (connotates abandonment). Ultimately we landed on, "Its just you here now" as being neutral, maybe even fun. As in: It's just you here now, so you can do whatever you want! The main thing is that we definitely want you to know when there is and when there is not someone potentially seeing your every edit.
Maybe we should go further with this text... "Write like there's no one watching"
what, just get over it.
i mean its funny man so i dont see the problem
Useless for Microsoft to implement, if you do have cases of actual loneliness, i'd suggest seeing to get someone to talk to and get something worked on.
Really? They have this feature so that you know the other person has left. Get over yourself PLEASE.
