Can we have the feature to insert a picture from OneDrive for Business to Word online just like
In consumer Word online you can add images from OneDrive. In Sway for commercial organisations you can upload images from OneDrive for Business. Why not in Word Online?

Open this thread with some Microsoft expert. But Sharing this would help. Really basic option and needed.

Word Online allows individual users that use the free Office version through live.com to insert images from:
- This device
However, this is not the case in education. When using a free license, like Office 365 A1 for students or Office 365 A1 for faculty and even when using one of the paid (!) Microsoft 365 for faculty plans, Word Online only allows the user to insert images from:
- This device
In education this is a big issue and it'd be great if this feature is added to Word Online rather sooner than later.
Hello! It is a basic feature, Google Docs does this since the 00s...
I was asked how to do this by a few users today, having moved all document storage to OneDrive for Business, and was amazed to find that the only way to insert photos from OneDrive for business into Word Online is to install the sync client, then browse "This Device" and pick the item and then watch as it is downloaded then re-uploaded.
I cannot believe such a simple and obvious feature has been missed out! This is needed ASAP.

Additional info - it's the same issue as in this one (below) but for education/business organisations. This is a big deal for our word and onenote users, particularly students! The laborious process of downloading the file just to reupload it is convoluted and frankly daft...
