Textboxes in Word 365
Google Docs supports textboxes. Why doesn't MS have the ability in Word to create textboxes? PowerPoint 365 is able to insert textboxes.
As an educator in public schools at the elementary level, we always have used textboxes for years to type content and ideas which we can freely move around the page.
Right now Word 365 is like a simple text editor like Note Pad where you can only type text in the form of paragraphs. PLEASE add a Textbox Tool to the Insert ribbon!
I agree. This is a basic feature of Word, and even the long-ago Microsoft Works program, much more basic than Word but suited for personal use, had textbox capability. Word 365 is barely functional, yet Microsoft wants to push people towards it and charge us $7 per month for a basically useless program.
