Please! Please? I use this ALL the time to resolve formatting issues, but now that I have switched from a Mac to my iPad for everything, it is a problem! Please put this in the Word for Ipad software!

Adding my voice to this (IMO pretty obvious…) request.

I really wish non-printing and formatting marks could be displayed in Word 365. I am running Microsoft Office 365-en-us 16.0.11425.20202. Please add a "Show non-printing characters" Button!

I'm so used to seeing the paragraph marks in Word that I can't work with out them.
The paragraph marks have been part of Word since the beginning. You can't remove the now.

Desperately need the show/hide formatting characters button. Can't even work with basic documents without it.

This "non printing characters button" is available on my computer using Windows 10. When I save the Word document it still shows the spacing's I have used (via the TAB button etc). However, once the document is saved to my Microsoft Onedrive backup account all the non printing characters have disappeared and the whole document becomes compressed/screwed up onto the left hand side of the page. The information in Onedrive then ends up looking like this,"27/01/14$7355$183633$208323$399311Yes 28/01/14". I have 5 years of information that now has become unintelligible. The Onedrive experts have tried to solve my problem without success and have even emulated my problem at their end but they can do no more. What is the point of having Onedrive as a backup if it does not store an exact copy of the original? Come on Microsoft help me out here.

You broke the product with the update.
If I import a data block & try to edit it, the lack of the "show non-printing characters" Button turns a simple task into a nightmare. -

This is something I use all the time in the desk top edition to ensure that my spacing is correct throughout and that I've used the correct formatting, and don't have any erroneous spaces.
