Thanks for your feedback. Word Online already supports word count, which you can find at the bottom left corner of the window. You can also highlight parts of your document to get a word count for specific sections.

Let us know if this doesn’t resolve your issue.

    Nope. Now it only shows the number of pages, even when I select the text (or a portion thereof).

    Just highlight it. the word count will say
    "About X of X words."
    Wow. how did you not notice this?

    Word count for selectable highlighted text - not just the entire document.

    Some strings of text need to be under a certain character limit. Now I have to open a new window to use another tool to do this for me.

    GDocs has this.
