Word Online needs navigation pane in view mode also
There is no navigation pane available in view mode, and I feel this feature is equally important in view mode to be able to quickly navigate through the document.

I think it's ridiculous that this isn't a feature available yet. When I share a document with a customer, I need them to be able to navigate it through bookmarks obviously. How does microsfot propose navigating a 500 page document other then scrolling all the way to the top to the table of contents all the time? Are you guys ever going to get to implimenting this?

If implemented, this could be a very good substitute for wiki pages especially with co-authoring on office online enabled.

Word documents are read many more times than they are edited. Hence, it is essential to make navigating the document easier when reading. Word Online is a convenient and quick way to have someone read a document for the purpose of reviewing it. But without navigation pane, it is crippling. Lack of this feature is a deal breaker for me. Please add this feature.

Bump! This would be very helpful and I assume not very difficult to implement. I'm interested in the Headings functionality being instantly available

Absolutely necessary for rapid document review rather than scrolling through dozens of pages or opening up the full Word.
