I know it is most likely too complex to pull off, but as one may be able to search in (google) something such as '23 + 47 =', (google) will solve the equation or problem for you.
It would be a nice and advanced feature for it to give the red squiggle line, or a different color, and prompt the user the answer. This would help me in many of my daily things, but i am sure would help other users as well. Complex functions such as y=mx+b and things may not be calculated, but simple numbers such as one step equations could be.
I understand if this is difficult to develop.

This couldn't be too difficult. Have you ever used OneNote because the Function already exists on that program.
When you type 1 + 1 = and press enter the program automatically enters 2...
that seems useless since you can do that with the cortana, seems like you just wasted time.
How would BEDMAS be calculated?

That's an awesome idea, I suck at math.

You could always use excel for this. It'll help you calculate pretty much any equation that you like.
Also, in the desktop version there is a feature called conditional formatting that can change the color of the cell or text based on a value. (I didn't find conditional formatting in the online version so I don't know if it is available online).
