I was doing some really important work which is due in today! I lost it all, next time i will use Word. Save automatically please.
My computer froze and caused me to lose my a-level history work, which is very important. It would be amazing if you used the automatic save like Word do.
I unfortunately disagree but this may just be my laptop. Sometimes when I am writing an important document which takes about an hour and I make a small error and my laptop immediately saves it, I then go to fix it and it makes my laptop freeze. When I finally get it to unfreeze I spot the mistake and go to fix it, it then freezes on me again. I then have to get it to unfreeze, by that time an hour has passed, I go to look at the document and its all gone... :-( I then have to write it again this takes another hour...
So all auto save has done for me is waist three hours of my time. sometimes I have to finish the whole document in about one hour and a half... :-|

Hi Stion Drew,
Thanks for bringing this feedback to us. I am sorry to hear that Word Online didn't save all of your work when your computer froze. It is supposed to save it because Office Online is in auto-save mode. It seems there was something wrong with the auto-save when the freeze happened. To help us investigate what happened and improve Office Online, would you mind to provide us a feedback from the same Word document you were working on? Following are the steps. Thank you.
1. Open the Word document you worked on in Word Online
2. In the right bottom corner, there is an button for "HELP IMPROVE OFFICE". Click it.
3. In the bump up feedback dialog, input your feedback then submit. You can just copy your description here to the dialog. And if you can add a few words like "Data loss feedback from UserVoice" will be much helpful.
