  1. Suggestions

    Google Docs has a suggestions feature where you can have you or other people add suggestions that you could put in the final product. That would be a great Word feature

  2. Allow for slang or improper language to be recognized

    Word should have an option to allow slang or a way to have a word added to your dictionary as a word not recognized or slang

  3. Lock comments so they can only be edited by author of the comment

    Please, please make it so that comments can no longer be edited by another person, students are able to revise comments made by their teacher. This is not good for school or business because a screen shot could easily implicate someone for wrong-doing. The edited comment shows the original author and no indication that there was a new person editing that comment. Also the comment history is not available to view to track any of the changed made to a comment box. Please fix this so we are able to continue using collaborative documents. This is a deal breaker.

  4. Default to edit view

    It is very confusing to see a document open and not be able to edit it. Most text editors default to editing, so this one should also

    When you open documents that you own in OneDrive and OneDrive for Business, we now open in edit mode by default. Documents shared with you still open in Reading View. We are in the process of rolling out default-to-edit for SharePoint libraries, stay tuned! :)

  8. Make word look like a book

    I think word should have an additional layout so that for young writers they can create drafts on book like pages.

  10. add the ability to insert citation and reference please!

    I think the insert citation command is quite important for word doc, this encourages anti-plagiarism please hear our request.

  11. give toliet paper to urinals

    when I took a stinky in the school urinal today I was displeased to find that I couldn't wipe because there was no toilet paper I then had to eat the off my hand after wiping with it.

  12. Can we have the feature to insert a picture from OneDrive for Business to Word online just like

    In consumer Word online you can add images from OneDrive. In Sway for commercial organisations you can upload images from OneDrive for Business. Why not in Word Online?

  13. Improve auto-correct

    Please stop auto-correct from incorrectly changing "(i.e., …)" to "(I.e., …)" - it's incorrect. That is, you currently have an auto-correct feature that takes correct syntax and makes it incorrect. An auto-incorrect feature is probably one that most people don't want, wouldn't you think?

  14. Add a convert to Powerpoint button.

    In Word, I always want to change my mind and put my info into a PowerPoint, but there is always the process of copying and pasting. I think a convert to PowerPoint button would be especially great.

  15. Default Text Option

    It should be a thing to set a default text font. My teachers are strict about choosing Times New Roman, and font size 12. I hate having to switch from Cambria (Body) EVERY SINGLE FREAKING TIME.

  17. show the header and the footer

    When you insert a header/footer, it disappears after you click on the other part of the text. It should be so that the header/footer stays on the page when you click away.

  18. The default language option doesn't seem to work.

    When I change the language to UK English, it keeps going back to US English every time I start a new document or even page.

  19. Equations: Add the ability to insert equations

    In the traditional version of Word, we are able to write equations. Can that ability be added here? It is especially useful for students that are in the fields of science, engineering, and mathematics that are working on group projects.

  20. Add ability to edit Microsoft Word forms in Word Online

    Creating a fillable form template document content type on Office 365 SharePoint does not allow you to fill the form using Word Online. Allowing this would mean the ability to automatically fill out forms using metadata columns from SharePoint.
